Having Math quiz tomorrow. Hope i'll do good.

Anyways, i thought i encountered something slightly spooky just now. I was reading The Da Vinci Code. I decided to go grab my dictionary midway because there are some words which are unknown to me, and it's preventing me from understanding the story better. I took my electronic dictionary instead. 'Coz i was lazy to go flip through pages to just look for a word.

The word i was looking up for was 'asceticism'. In case you wanna know what it means, it's a belief that keeps oneself away from physical pleasures and comfort. Ok, my e.dict is vocal. When u press a button, and it can pronouce the word for you in either 4 languages. English, Japanese, Mandarin and Cantonese. I chose English first, den out of curosity, i thought i wanted to check out the Jap one too.

When i chose the Japanese version, the thing suddenly went nuts. It kept making this loud, weird and funny noise. I was slightly startled. It had never happened before. I fumbled with other buttons to try to stop it, but failed. I tried to turn it off. But nothing budge. It just kept making this weird noise. Then, it kinda struck me that the noise sounded like some chant or spell. And i really wanted to shut it off.

My sis came into the room and asked me what the heck was going on. I told her i couldnt shut that thing off. In the end, she took out the batteries and it stopped. After awhile, she put it back again. This time, there was no weird noise. But this low monotonous sound. My sis immediately took out the batteries again.

I dont know. But i was kinda spooked about this. Maybe only because i was reading The Da Vinci Code. Or maybe the word meant something... Or maybe it's just some malfunction. Haha. Freaky.

CCN day tmr. Frankly speaking, i'm not really that interested. But... argh.. we'll see tmr.
