Ok. Today's entry discusses about 2 songs. You may think it's a little bo liao. But i wanna write about it.

Right. You know when lights get too bright, you'll close your eyes instantly? That's human instinct right? And with your eyes closed, you can't see a single thing. And when you can't see anything, you wouldn't know the appearance of things around you. Right?

Have you guessed it? Which song am i going to talk about?

It's U2's 'City of Blinding Lights'. Let's just check out a part of their lyrics.

How is one suppose to see in a city of blinding lights? What's more, how do you even know the person is beautiful when your eyes have to shut because of the BLINDING lights around. Well, i thought of 3 reasons.

1) The hidden msg in the song is actually implying that the person is ugly, instead of beautiful. Because i can't see you, so you're beautiful. Geddit?

2) 'City of blinding lights' is just the name of the place lah. There is in actual fact, no blinding lights at all.

3) It's just music. Throw in weird (and cool) meanings into the songs, like how many songs are nowadays.

Next. James Blunt's You're Beautiful.

I dont know what the big fuss about the song is. So many people think it's nice. And i'm hearing it everywhere. Radio, tv, yada yada yada. Gets a little irritating ah. I think it's ok only. Maybe it's a break from all the rock pop r&b rap that we all have been hearing. And people like it.

I heard on the radio that some people dedicating this song to their other halves. They find that it is suchhh a beautiful love song. But it's NOT. Please take a closer look at the lyrics. It's about liking or admiring someone, but not being able to have them or be with them. Ooh, the song also has the word f*cking in it. Yeah, beautiful love song.


Ok enough about songs. I was doing Math and i realised my Statistics is quite pathetic. Dont know why. Cant really get the things right. How? Must attend the extra lessons given on it already.
